How we look after your details.
Noah’s Media House is a small video studio in Highgate, North London. This page explains what we collect when you get in touch, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it. In short: we only use your details to reply to you and to work with you.
Who we are
Noah’s Media House (“we” or “us”) is responsible for the personal details described here. You can contact us about anything on this page at noahsmediahouse@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you book a free chat, the form asks for:
your name and your business’s name
your email address, and your phone number if you choose to give it
where you’re based and what you’re looking for
anything else you tell us in your message
If you email or call us instead, we keep what you send us.
Why we use it
We use your details to reply to you, arrange a chat, send you a quote and, if you become a client, plan and deliver your project and invoice you. The law allows this because you’ve asked us to get in touch and, once we’re working together, because it’s needed for our agreement with you. We keep some records, such as invoices, because the law requires it.
We never sell your details, and we won’t add you to a mailing list.
Who else handles it
We use two services to run the studio:
Squarespace, which hosts this website and the booking form
Google, which runs our email and the reCAPTCHA check on the booking form that keeps out spam
They only use your details to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it. Both store some data outside the UK, including in the United States. When they do, they use the protections UK law requires, such as the UK–US data bridge or standard contract terms approved for UK data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to two years after we last hear from you, in case you get back in touch, and then delete them. If you become a client, we keep project and invoice records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounts, usually six years.
Cookies
Squarespace, which hosts this site, uses a few small cookies. One, called crumb, keeps the booking form secure and is deleted when you close your browser. Two more remember whether you chose Accept or Decline on our cookie banner.
Two others, ss_cvr and ss_cvt, count visits so we can see which pages people read. They’re only set if you choose Accept, and the longest lasts about 13 months. You can change your mind at any time with Cookie preferences at the bottom of every page, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work.
If you use the Pause motion button, your choice is saved in your browser, on your device, so the site remembers it next time.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
tell you what details we hold about you and send you a copy
correct anything that’s wrong
delete your details
stop or limit how we use them
send your details to you or someone else in a common format
Email noahsmediahouse@gmail.com and we’ll reply within one month. It’s free.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We’d like the chance to put things right first, so please tell us too.
